"Waiting time at least 8 months"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary / Clinical haematology

I was referred by my GP to the haematology department on 02/05/18. The letter informed me I should get a call by 16/5/18 which did not happen. I called the clinic and they informed me to call choices, I called them they could t make my appointment either told to call outpatients at BRI on calling they couldn’t give me an appointment either. Called clinic appointment again and told would call me back today. Got a call and told I wouldn’t get an appointment until next year!! What kind of service is this????!!!

Dear Yasmeen, I am really sorry to hear about this, can you please call us on 01274 364810 or email patient.experience@bthft.nhs.uk so we can help you?

Please mention this review when you call or email and if you can give us your full name, date of birth, address and hospital number ( this will begin RAE or MRN and be on any paperwork from us) or your NHS number, that will help us to find you on the system.

Or, you may want to speak to your GP and ask if you may be able to get an appointment sooner at another hospital, thought this would mean making a new referral so it would be a good idea to speak to us first so we can find out what the reason is for the delay and explain your options to you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
