"Oral Maxillofacial - Dental extraction under GA"

I would like to leave feedback following the incredible service that the staff in day surgery provided for one of our young people last week. Scott is an autistic young man, he is non verbal and can be aggressive and potentially violent when he is scared or unsure of what is happening.

Scott was put onto the list as an emergency, the staff only had the details that he was 18yrs, ASC and required an extraction. They were made aware of the complexity of his needs when they met myself and my colleague at 11am for his pre op assessment.

From start to finish the staff were incredible; they had excellent communication skills, they showed great empathy, allowed Scott and our team the time that we needed to prepare him, they maintained his dignity at all times and they were highly skilled. It was a privilege to be able to work with them as a team. I would like to commend and thank each and everyone of them.

Unfortunately I don't know the names of the whole team who worked with us.
