"Not given Parkinson's medication on time"

About: Florence Nightingale Community Hospital

(as the patient),

Tell us about your experience of getting your Parkinson's medication when you needed it whilst you were in hospital. Did staff understand the importance of getting it on time? Did they talk about it? Did you have to mention it first?:

Told staff when admitted about importance of getting medication on time, but never gave it to me on my times stated had it given to me at normal drugs round.

Tell us about your experiences of being able to manage your own Parkinson's medication in hospital:

Could not manage my own medication, had to rely on hospital staff.

Tell us if you have any other comments about your stay in hospital:

Very traumatic, cannot feed or dress myself, so had to rely on staff, this was given to staff at my admission that I had to be fed and given drinks. It never happened.

Medication was left on my table many times for me to give myself, which I couldn't do. Came out of hospital a stone lighter and very dehydrated - which is why I was admitted in the first place.
