88 year old mum with dementia and very obvious Colles fracture given immediate attention in a very, very busy dept. We were told the wait to see the doctor would be lengthy ( and it was) but we were updated, offered further pain relief and we could see the number of serious ambulance cases being attended to. By the time we were seen by doctor for manipulation it was agreed this would be better left till the following day. We left with a temporary cast, pain relief and a clear care plan for the following day. At 10am we returned to be greeted by the same doctor who carried out the procedure with care and expertise and were given follow up appointments. Thank you.??
