"Great audiologists"

About: St. Margaret's Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

Following a period of deteriorating hearing and increasing tinnitus I finally got a hearing aid almost 2 years ago. Audiology was going through a busy, difficult time. They put on extra clinics and was seen late on a Sunday afternoon. Had hearing test, given a hearing aid, some information all in 15 minutes.

17 months ago, developed balance problems, including bouts of dizziness, vertigo, vomiting, worsening fluctuating tinnitus and hearing loss. In the interim had 4 ENT appointments, on medication but not really helps. Found my hearing aid mostly unhelpful and didn’t use it very much.

Currently in remission from balance problems. At my most recent ENT appointment finally saw my Consultant, we discussed the hearing aid, she said my hearing will deteriorate more if I don’t hear sound. After deliberation decided to contact Audiology at St Margaret’s to try to improve experience with hearing aid. Had an appointment today. Seen on time, all my problems were taken seriously, I was listened to. 2 different Audiologists spent a total of 40 minutes assisting me with advice and adjustments. I can’t speak highly enough of their care today. Brilliant Audiologists. Thank you so much.
