About: Heartlands Hospital / Accident and emergency Heartlands Hospital / Cardiology West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

I need to thank a few people ... craig and his mate on ambulance  great guys keep it up. Sian the nurse and her hca so helpful caring and hard working and dave the porter made us smile when feeling down.
On the down side felt the doctor didnt know what decision to make, they went off to get advice came back after an hour later to tell my husbamd to go for xray and more bloods this was at midnight  yet we had been there since late afternoon had bloods taken quickly from nurse but xray at least 15  people waiting and no one there. my husband and I been up since the early hours that morning so we self discharged as so tired and was sitting on wheelchair  and hard chair. And also we had 3 different opinions on the diagnosis, paramedics, cardiac nurses and doctor so dont know what we should think! ! Oh yet thank you to cardiac nurses care.

Dear Jands

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback following your recent experience at Heartlands Hospital A&E department.

I am so pleased to read that you felt supported throughout by our staff who do work very hard to ensure a positive patient experience regardless of how busy their workload is. I will ensure that your feedback is forwarded to the A&E department senior management team, who I'm sure will be thrilled to read your comments, which I hope is acceptable.

I would like to reassure you that we take seriously any issues our patients raise with us and we value this feedback. So that I can look into your husband's experience appropriately, I would be grateful if you could contact us so that I may obtain more information from you.

Contact can be made on 0121 424 0808 or by email: bhs-tr.Complaints-ConcernsandCompliments@nhs.net I look forward to hearing from you and I sincerely hope that your husband is now recovering from his illness.
