What I liked
The staff at the Labour ward were brilliant. Very caring and supporting. The Anaesthetists and Sugeon were very polite and skilled .
What could be improved
Post natal Ward 1 at DEWSBURY Hospital experience was more like a nightmare . Apart from 2 midwives. All were so rude and unhelpful. Nights are worst when your partner is gone and you are left at Midwives disposal. Meals are not served to patients bed side, instead you get an announcement that food is ready, patients need to go to ward kitchen themselves to bring food.
You keep crying of pain and no one will be bothered. Despite telling them that you previously had gastric bleeding You are still advised diclofenac with a promise of omeprazole which never got fulfilled and my husband had to go out and buy some Gaviscon.
After surgery next morning it is not possible for a woman to do lot of things. Asking for help from a midwife is responded by a terribly arrogant response. I was shocked and saddened at the attitudes of most (not all) midwives there.
Anything else?
Only people with caring nature should become midwives. Others need to improve
"Excellent drs and horrible midwives"
