"Terrible aftercare"

About: Circle-Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre

The preoperative care was second to none. It was the aftercare that really let me down. I spoke highly of the treatment centre until they played down my PTSD to be just a mental issue when it was more physical. The same pain started a few hours after the operation as when I had an internal bleed. The nurses just told me to calm down as i begged for a scan. The nurses called the onsite Dr who phoned my consultant to come in because I begged for help. It wasn't another bleed but my bladder had frozen and was about to pop. A catheter was inserted urgenty. I phoned the aftercare number twice but I wasn't asked any questionsand told to go to A&E if i was worried. Having PTSD means I can't stay in the hospital because of the negitive impact this has on my health.

Before leaving the hospital I checked my drugs chart and it didn't make sense so i asked the discharge nurse who admitted that the nurses hadn't completed this properly. I'm extremely concerned about othrs atte
