I have been with this practice for a number of years and considered myself fortunate to receive the service and care they offer.
A recent experience has compelled my to write a review - it would seem we, all too often, complain but very rarely give positive feedback.
My recent appointment with the doctor was excellent, he immediately put me at ease, he was professional and showed real empathy,
Following a consultation and examination, we discussed the next steps together and a "fast track" referral to the hospital was agreed.
Of course, I was anxious but the doctor took the time to reassure me and I left the consultation feeling more "settled" and knowing I was on the right pathway.
A few days later I received a letter from the NHS e-referral service advising that I needed to make an appointment at the hospital, I followed this up with the hospital who said they hadn't received my referral.
I contacted the practice and the secretaries were incredibly helpful, advising the referral had, in fact, already been sent by email, but agreed to re-send,
They also rang me back to confirm the email had been received/read by the hospital and my appointment was confirmed by the hospital shortly after.
The last couple of weeks have been stressful to say the least, but the outcome, fortunately, has been a good one.
I know, for certain, that the process would have been much more difficult had it not been for the brilliant GPs and staff at the Dekeyser Group Practice!
