My aunt had an appointment booked for the 26th April 2018 at the orthopaedics department. She was booked to go by stretcher as she has limited mobility at the moment.
The ambulance personnel were really nice, understanding and respectful to my aunts needs. They arrived well within time for my aunt to meet her appointment.
On arrival to the department we were early and the department staff were on their lunch break. A memeber of the staff walked passed and was told about my aunt. She promptly rejected her break, assessed the situation, got all the apparatus needed to help my aunt to be comfortable and dealt with her needs appropriately. Whilst we were waiting my aunt had a need that had to be dealt with, that I was unable to assist with. There was a number of nurse that had come to see her, they honestly went above and beyond the call of duty to assist her
The consultant needed x-rays to get a clearer picture of my aunts condition, so off we went to x-ray. We experienced the porters and x-ray staff, both of which showed aunt the respect and dignity she deserved.
Back at the department we seen the consultant promptly and was put in a lovely room to wait for ambulance staff, who came to assist very quickly.
Overall an excellent experience due to the time, respect dignity and care given by every member of staff we meet while at the hospital. A heartfelt thanks to you all.
"A wonderful place for a visit to"
