"Liver Unit; Transplant."

I was referred to Kings for an assessment and subsequent liver transplant. Throughout my stay the support and sheer professionalism of all the staff has been overwhelming.

The assessment and ‘education’ process ensured I was fit and strong enough to withstand the long operation and attending sessions at Kings were a great help in my preparation and understanding of the procedure.

After the ‘call’, the confidence and encouragement of the entire transplant team, along with their hint of humour, helped me through the operation.

Aftercare in Transplant Post op. and Todd ward was exceptional. The care and encouragement was a great help through the recovery process. Their smiles are infectious.

I can’t thank the Liver Co-ordinator team enough for supporting and helping my husband and myself during this time. It is a great comfort to know that they are there.

Follow-up clinic visits have been thorough and reassuring. All the staff are amazingly supportive, which sums up my entire experience of Kings College Hospital Liver Unit. I am extremely grateful to everyone at Kings.
