"Didnt have a clue"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Accident and emergency

Had to go to this a and e against my patients wishes (I'm a carer) but paramedic refused to drive to a hospital that had treated this lady for thirty years. So ended up here . On duty staff from doctor to nurse did not have a clue how to treat this lady . She has very complex health issues . One being her heart is trans . The nurse looked at me as if I wasn't a full picnic . "Oh ive never heard of that was the reply."I continued to explain the situation . When a doctor interrupted . "Why have you brought her here why hasn't she been taken to the hospital that treats her?" Looking in shock I just turned away. The doctor said he hadn't any idea how to treat the lady I was at the hospital with . She then had a ct scan of her brain as she was unresponsive when found. . I asked the nurse at 5.30 am were the results are she replied . "YOU DONT NEED THEM THIS IS JUST A WALK IN CENTER we don't bother with that . When did a and e get turned into a complete walk in centre . I actually phoned and asked this morning . The receptionist seemed as confused as I did. I then asked the doctor what he was going to do as this lady is clearly very poorly . He then put a drip up . One which this lady isn't allowed . He then turned to the lady who could barley speak . DO YOU WANT TO STOP HERE FOR THE WEEKEND OR GO HOME . My lady said . Please god do not leave me here put me in the car and take me home . So at six thirty in the morning i carried this lady to a car and drove her home after eight hours of total carnage From ambulance to hospital the whole situation is and was disgusting . To treat someone like they are not fit to even be listened to is a disgrace . This lady has a hard enough life without being in the middle of a circus .
