"Professional attitude"

Having been driven to Broomfield for a colonoscopy, I was naturally apprehensive due to a current bout of ulcerative colitis which promised an uncomfortable experience to say the least.

Check-in was simple and despite the department being very busy, delay was not a major problem as the staff were cheerful, helpful, professional and efficient.

The waiting room was quiet and warm and it was not long before I was taken to the registration room for completion of the documentation - which was most thorough.

Changing for the procedure was private and overseen by happy, efficient staff who kept the atmosphere cheerful.

In the theatre the staff all made me welcome and were patient in setting the procedure up. Being uncomfortable I chose the sedation option which worked extremely well as my only recollection was ‘waking up’ in the recovery room despite not officially being knocked out.

There was no discomfort and the resultant documentation was well explained to both my wife and myself. As this was my 4th colonoscopy I can only compliment the Broomfield staff for their professional attitude.
