This is not glamorous!!

I had to have a Colonoscopy, and banding of piles.

I did warn you!!

Right from the first appointment, the care and attention has been great. It's an embarrassing area, but the staff are very good at making everything routine, no problems.

I had to fast for a day, and take Moviprep, to clean bowels out. Not an easy prep to take. Sounds easy to drink 1 litre in two hours, twice, you do have to work at it.

I stopped all fibre 3 days before.

The hospital provide an operation type gown and a short dressing gown. It felt too short to me, I had brought my own, so used it.

Had very slight sedation, procedure was just slightly uncomfortable, not painful. You get told there an then if anything looks odd, you get a written report with photos. One week later, all is well.
