"Getting my life back to normality"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

In April 2009 I hurt my back whilst training in the gym. I went to my doctor who sent me to physio. In january this year I again hurt my back, I went to A&E and was told that my 4 bottom disks had colapsed. I managed to get by until April 2011 and then the pain got so bad that I could only move from my bed to the settee. I was back and forth from the hospital, taking all the pain killers under the sun, it got so bad that I ended up on morphine, and then I July I was refered onto One Health and that was the turning point. I saw my consultant Mr Abhinay Kamat and within a week of seeing him my appoint was made to have a Microdiscectomy at Balborough and life has been so good since. Prior to my surgery I couldn't walk, stand or sit for more than 10 mins at a time. 24 hours after surgey I was walking, sitting pain free. Thankyou. I cannot say thankyou enough to everybody at OneHealth Group for giving me back a pain free life. We need more groups like this now!!!!!!!
