I would like to pass on my heartfelt thanks to all the staff in the A&E department and Ward 7a.
I was admitted to hospital after being diagnosed with obstruction of the bowel on Wednesday evening.
The A&E department was extremely busy when I arrived (i was very unwell and this was noted by the receptionist) and I was called in to be triaged immediately.
After having bloods and X-ray done I was admitted, treatment was commenced and I was moved to Ward 7a.
I remained on IV fluids and NG tube for the rest of my stay and the treatment I received from all staff (both in the A&E department and Ward 7a) was exemplary.
Both my husband and myself are Community First Responders and we understand first hand how stretched Services in the NHS are at present.
Despite this the treatment I received was first class and I would like this to be passed on to the hospital staff concerned.
