"CITT (CAMHS Intensive Treatment Team)"

About: CAMHS South Lanarkshire CITT

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was referred to CITT by CAMHS after two home visits they took action and recommended my daughter be admitted to Skye House. After a 6 week stay at Skye House CITT were on hand to support us immediately after discharge and then helped and supported my daughter for a further 8 months. Think we met everyone in the team and they are all amazing in their own way. As I am a single mother the support was invaluable to me as well and they helped boost my confidence after such a traumatic experience.

The change in my daughter is amazing and I feel like I've finally got her back. It was very sad to see them go but we never felt like it was rushed or forced they stayed as long as we needed them.

I would like to thank Chris and Sandra for the work they did with meal support, it never felt awkward, we often played quiz games with Chris after lunch which made it feel more fun and natural and it wasn't all about eating.

As meal support was coming to an end, in entered Jackie, a whirlwind of amazing, positive energy who took over on the graded exposure. I am so grateful to her, she was exactly what my daughter needed. They immediately clicked and for the first time in a long time I saw my daughter once again excited about life. I can never thank you enough Jackie, you are amazing at your job and such a lovely person. The graded exposure was suited to my daughter's interests and not a one size fits all service so they really spend time in getting to know the kids.

And James you were the first positive male role model my daughter has had in a long time. Not sure how you won her over apart from just being you but you did it.

We are so lucky to live in South Lanarkshire with the care that is offered. I dread to think how our situation would have turned out without the amazing help and support we received and CITT are an essential part of that.

Thank you to all at the CITT team.
