"Amazing doctors and nurses let down by poor..."

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / Trauma and Orthopaedics

I recently had a knee operation in the Arthur South Day unit. I could not fault the surgeons, anaesthetist, nursing staff and staff in recovery. I really was impressed. They all worked really hard but were also friendly and I felt that they always had time for me as I felt quite ill after my operation. The nursing staff on the ward were constantly busy, they must go home absolutely exhausted. In my experience, there is just one thing which lets this hospital down - the poorly co-ordinated administration and lack of customer care skills from administration staff.

Dear Patient

Thank you for sharing your experiences of your recent attendance at the hospital. I am pleased to read that staff were hard working and friendly. I am sorry to read that some aspects were not as positive. I will share this with the staff involved and senior managers in the hospital so that they are aware and can consider improvements.

Thank you for taking the time to write.

With kind regards

Sarah Eastwood, PALS Manager
