A few weeks ago I found out I am pregnant and due to bleeding needed Early Pregnancy Assesments. These were carried out at the Jarvis Building at the LRI (Leicester Royal Infirmary). I have to say that my experience with the specialist nurses was second to none, ever so caring and considerate. I wish I could say the same for the two sonographers I had. The first sonographer I reported for bad mouthing me while I was on the toilet, however my Partner heard every upsetting and disrespectful word they said about me. She didn’t speak to me during the whole procedure and was very rough and just plain rude!
The second time I asked for a different sonographer, luckily they weren't rude but again didn’t show me what they were doing and didn’t explain nearly anything: ( I have an appointment soon and I’m really thinking about calling it off even though I need this important scan. I’m terrified of going through this awful experience again.
I don’t ask for much and I’m not having frequent scans because I fancy them! I’m having them because I’m high risk at the moment! ! Trust me I’d much rather be at home than be treated badly, just to cry my eyes out afterwards and pay horrific parking fees. Please sort this out! They should not be doing this job if this is the way they are going to treat people!
