"Lengthy wait for results"

About: Woodend Hospital / Radiology

(as a service user),

I attended for an MRI scan on a Sunday at 8am at the Woodend site.   The radiographer was extremely lovely and made me feel at ease.   I was told the results would be with my consultant within 2 weeks.  

Six weeks later I am still waiting, this is after emailing the consultant's secretary where I was palmed off with a standard non caring reply and a telephone call to my own GP.  The wait is ridiculous - especially with the level of pain I am left to endure.

Dear annoyed coach,

Sorry to hear your results have not made it back to your GP as yet. This is definitely longer than we would anticipate and I can only apologise for this.

I'll pass on your king words to the team but in the meantime if you want me to find out where your results are please email me direct on c.matthew@nhs.net so I can chase up and have them sent to your GP.
