i injured my toe around three weeks ago by dropping a tool box on it, went to A&E at Kings and had streri-strips stuck on to close the wound and was given antibiotics because i had slight fracture. Nearly 3 weeks later, it was still a bit painful and bleeding a little.
So i thought i better have it checked out because I wasn't sure how well it was healing.
I was seen within 5 minutes and the nurse practitioner explained what he was doing and why clearly and precisely.
He removed the streri-strips, cut away some dead skin, re-dressed the wound neatly and explained that it was taking a while to heal because of the nature of the wound, but it was healing.
In short, a quick, efficient and high quality service and i was back in work an hour after leaving.
