"Inadequate care given in 9 north"

About: Ealing Hospital

I was transferred to 9 north from another ward sometime in early April. I had problems with my legs and as it got worse , I found some clinical sisters very unhelpful and I was not treated with dignity or respect and I felt humiliated as I had a fall whilst transferring from a commode to bed with the help of a HCA who was very caring helpful and she called one of the clinical sisters for help. As I fell my legs bended backwards and I needed help to get off of the floor. I was upset and crying as I was in severe pain. The clinical sister said to the HCA in front of me, to leave me on the floor and she gave me a pillow and said she’ll come back after I calmed down. She treated me like a child, no dignity or respect as I lay on the floor. The ward manager was not as helpful as she was siding with the clinical sister. Never been treated lol me Riis before and I hope I will never experience this again.

Thank you for letting is know about your recent admission to Ealing Hospital, part of which was spent on ward 9 North.

I was sorry to learn that whilst admitted to 9 North you found the senior staff to be unhelpful and that you were not treated with dignity and respect. We would be very interested to hear further details of this so that we can ensure this is looked into further.
