(as a service user),

I gave birth last week to a beautiful little girl. My birth didn’t go as planned; due to complications I was told I couldn’t go to the birthing suite and was rushed to the labour ward within 5 minutes. I still felt positive and calm about birth and was able to express my preferences.

This was all thanks to all the information and support provided in parenting class by midwife Lauren and student Sophie. The care I received during labour and for 7 days on post natal was great, I can honestly say I’ve never encountered such kind and caring staff. Thank you for making what could have been a daunting experience so positive!

Thank you for sharing your story about your maternity experience. It is very important to us that we provide safe care so It is good to hear that our maternity staff acted quickly and transferred you to labour ward. I will share your comments with the maternity teams, Lauren and her student midwife Sophie as I know that they will be delighted.
