About: Charles Clifford Dental Hospital

I found the hospital to be great for a while as they sorted out many of the problems caused by the neglect of the NHS dental service I had in the past. Once assigned a student everything went well and my mouth problems were sorted out as quick as you would expect in a training environment. However once that student had qualified, leaving only small details to attend to with me. It became more difficult to get appointments, even when a new student who was in her 3 year, was assigned. They kept putting things off, such as when a tooth, which had been repaired by them chipped again. One day I was in the waiting room and everyone else got taken in, except me. A member of staff told the receptionist that my student had not turned up for some reason, when he mentioned her name, I pointed out that I was waiting for her. He had to get another student to look at me, he took one look at the chipped tooth and said "that's a big job" I will leave it for your student.

That student or the hospital never made another appointment with me. Now a few years later that tooth needs extracting!

I get the impression that my mouth was being used to help a student pass. Then after that I was not of interest to them. Since I only needed tinkering with!

Still waiting for the appointment or have they lost my records?

Thank you for leaving feedback and I am really sorry to learn you have had this inconsistent service. We would be really pleased to look into this matter and therefore would be grateful if you could contact us to provide more details to enable us to do so. You can do this by contacting our Patient Services Team. Either by calling them on 0114 271 2400 or by emailing them at pst@sth.nhs.uk

With thanks and best wishes
