"Appointment at Endoscopy Unit"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

Service/care was excellent from everyone involved.

But.... why are  patient records not digitised?

Dear Clootie,

I am please you had a positive experience and I will ensure the staff are sighted of this.

You have asked why patients records are not digitised? I have had an update from our Health Records service in relation to a response. Patients health records information is currently held in multiple systems including paper and in some cases electronically. We are aspiring to integrate these systems as far as possible and to become as paperless as clinically safe to do so.

Thanks for posting on Care Opinion,

Regards Arlene

OK. Thanks for your response. I don't want to take up your time with this but, should this not be part of the "digital Scotland" project being implemented by the SGHD and/or NSS?
