My dad was recently moved from a care home to St James - he has been suffering from dementia for some time.
I guess I'm the kind of person who feels uncomfortable at the dentist, doctors and most definitely in a hospital environment.
I went to visit him yesterday and I'd like to share my view with others who may be in the same predicament.
The ward has a simply layout, patients have their own room and the area is very clean.
The unit is well staffed and I feel that patients (inc, my dad) are getting the very best medical care.
I was able to spend some (undisturbed) time with him and left feeling confident that he was comfortable and receiving expert medical care.
St James has a big 'thumbs up' from me, I'd like to thank all staff from porters to consultants for your dedication.
