I was rushed into Aberdeen at 32 weeks pregnant with my twins, with a history of early labours and pre term births (I had lost a baby early the year before at 24 weeks).
I was sent to Dundee but was discharged days later. I went back to ARI still in early labour at 34 weeks where I was given the news they could only find one heartbeat on the scan. I cannot fault the care I got from that moment.
My twins were born in June, my daughter was stillborn and my son was needing neonatal care. Rubislaw ward was fantastic, they allowed me and my family to say goodbye, they took photos and foot and hand prints (which I now have tattooed) and took me to see my son whenever I wanted.
I can't praise Rubislaw or the neonatal at Aberdeen enough for all they did back then, right down to the three matching teddies they gave me. My daughter was buried with hers, and I have mine and my son's in the living room with one of her photos.
Keep up the good work. I will never forget what you all did for me xx.
