"Fantastic maternity care"

I would like to say big thank you to everyone at MLU and CLU at Lister Hospital. Our baby girl was born by c section on 30.03.2018 in CLU.

I was hoping for water birth with hypnobirthing practice however my baby had completely different plan. I was 8 days overdue and had to be induced, which I really wanted to avoid however after discussion with consultants we decided that would be best plan of action.

I must say that two midwives who were looking after us at the beginning of labor done more than enough to let me have my hypnobirthing experience as long as possible. I could not ask for better care. After their shift there was another midwife who looked after us during night and she was also amazing and very helpful. Unfortunately my baby got stressed and I ended up with c section at the end however whole process was very peaceful and we felt we were informed and under control.

In general our experience was amazing at Lister Hospital. The labor was great and staff were very professional, friendly, helpful and I felt I received very personal care. Thank you.

Maybe the only recommendation I would have is aftercare on the Ward. Some of the midwives were fantastic but some of them seemed they did not enjoy being there however there were more the positive ones which made up for the odd one.

I also must mention that student midwives were great and very helpful. It is lovely to see that future midwives are so dedicated to their jobs.

In general I would highly recommend Lister Hospital Maternity unit to everyone. Fantastic care thank you so much for providing such a wonderful care.
