"Gallbladder Removal"

About: Leicester General Hospital / General surgery

I had my gallbladder removed in November 2017 . When I woke from surgery

I was in agony in my stomach area so bad I couldn't sit up in bed . One nurse helped

me once in showing me where the toilet was but even though I was very dizzy and unsteady she said she couldn't hold my arm .

I came out of hospital the next day in a terrible lot of pain and was on oramorph.

I had to call 111 2 days later as I couldn't cope with the pain anymore . It turned out I was sent home with an infection in my main incision which had been there since surgery .

I am still having problems with the removal

Of my gallbladder as I can barely eat , this as been going on for 6 months, the weight is dropping off me but no one is interested.

I've finally got a gastroenterologist appointment but I'm not holding my breath with regards to being made better .

I've been going through hell since I had my gallbladder removed and I wish I'd never had it done .
