"Eye clinic"

About: Solihull Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

Appointment at 1pm and managed to see someone just after 2.30. We complained and were told they make all the appointments for the same time to make sure everyone is prepared.

We were then here until 3.45 - then sent to the Pharmacy to wait a further 40 minutes to be told they haven’t got the correct stock and we need to come back!

Guess what - the car park fee isn’t reduced because of the inadequacy of the system - maybe that’s why they make you wait.

Dear Raq

I am very sorry to learn of your experience whilst you were an outpatient under the care of our Trust and the impression that it has left.

If you would be willing to provide further details, we can then advise the eye clinic and Pharmacy of your experience so they can make any necessary improvements, you can contact a member of the Patient Services Team on 0121 424 0808 or you can email your concerns to bhs-tr.Complaints-ConcernsandCompliments@nhs.net who can then take the necessary action.

Kind regards

Patient Services Team
