I had a Stroke last June, I started attending Glenaffric around August last year, under the care of Susan (Occupational therapy) and Fiona (Physiotherapy) and the support staff within Glenaffric.
There aren’t enough words of gratitude I can pay for the help they have given me on my ‘road to recovery’. Without their support I would be in a far worse place today. All the staff are a credit to Coathill and the wider Stroke team in North Lanarkshire.
Coathill Hospital, is in my opinion an ideal place for treatment of this sort, located centrally within North Lanarkshire, it’s facilities are all on ground level allowing the day-care patients to move with relative ease.
I had the chance of attending the ‘Positive Stroke’ Group ran by Anne and Kate, again this was a huge benefit in my rehabilitation.
So thanks to all involved.
