appointments were made for numerous patents to arrive at 12:30pm for operations. With a severe back problem i sat for over 3 hours in uncomfortable chairs, (not made to be sat in that long) before being taken to theatre. In the waiting room was a notice if you needed a sick note to to ask before going to theatre, i did this at least 1 hour beforehand. No sick note appeared.
After surgery i asked for my sick note and was told that i would need to go to my GP for one. The nurses i came into contact with there i felt were uncaring and just treated you like cattle. the anaesthetist was very good and the team around him as was the reception desk. there was only one nurse to look after at least 6 patients after the recovery team and she kept disappearing I suspect to look after more patients.
I feel that some of the nurses I saw should not have been in this line of work, terrible.
