"West Somerset should be proud of their District..."

About: Musgrove Park Hospital (Taunton)

What I liked

4 weeks as a patient in Triscombe Ward - outstanding patient care by all staff regardless of position - a tiring demanding job done by all with great patience, skill, improvisation and empathy - truly outstanding care. I hope that they can be publicly recognised

The professionalism, hardwork, empathy and kindness of the two regular, very young in their career, of the regular junior doctors

The catering was very good - you learnt to "read" the menu - not omelettes like leather.

The emphasis placed on medical care and knowledge and the comfort of the patient; not misplaced on starch, tidy beds and irrelevant rules.

The quality of the two cafes.

What could be improved

It is virtually impossible to learn the various dress and uniform codes - so easy in the past.

Name tags not worn at eye level.

Outrageous Car Parking and TV charges.

Lifts - too few to cope
