"If you think you need a hearing aid don't go to..."

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Anything else?

I went to have a hearing test and saw the doctor after the test who said that I needed to a have a hearing aid /aids and that was the last I have heard from medway hospital. I phoned and was told that the doctor had not sent a ref letter to have me fitted with a aid/aids and that they could not do any thing with out the ref letter even though its in the same department and even when and if they get the letter they don't have to start the so called clock ticking for 18 weeks and then I might have to have a mould taken which might take another 8 weeks. And so it could take 26 weeks from the time I saw the doctor to get a hearing aid/aids fitted. Now I am sure that if it were the chief exec who needed a hearing test and hearing aid he would have had it all done on the same day.
