"Excellent Care"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I have just returned from hospital following a stay for emergency treatment. I was taken to ambulatory care where the staff were very attentive and treated me with compassion, dignity and respect.

Whilst in there it was obvious other patients were being treated in the same manner. I was moved to the emergency care unit by a very respectful porter who assisted fully.

The staff in this unit are very busy, but not once did I hear a complaint from them and the dignity and respect continued throughout my stay.

A huge thank you to Dr McKenna, who kept well informed throughout about what my treatment would be what to expect, and his team. This was a very scary time for me but I was in the best place and received the best care possible.

Dear Billy Jean,

Many thanks for taking the time to post your experience while presenting as an emergency to our Emergency Care areas.

The staff will be delighted to read that you found your overall experience a positive one and that you were treated with such care and dignity.

The team do work extremely hard and are positive in their care to patients making it as person centred as possible.

I will ensure these kind comments are passed to the team and to Dr McKenna.

I hope that you are feeling better and on the mend.

Best wishes

Andy
