I was very happy with my visit to the Duchy Hospital on the 13th February for a procedure on my bladder.I am 82 years old and as it was the first time in my life I was naturally very nervous about the experience. From the time I arrived at reception I was made to feel welcome ,and the Nurse who collected me for various tests put me at ease straight away. I was taken through to a seat just outside the Operating Theatre, where the Consultant explained exactly what was going to happen. The consultant was very reassuring, and explained every detail to me.The Nurses in the theatre were very kind also, and I felt extremely fortunate to be in such capable hands.I felt very priviliged as an NHS patient to be treated so well.I cannot praise all the staff enough for their kind professional care whilst I was in the Hospital. Thank-you.
