"Amazing experience for birth of 2nd child!"

I had my first child at a different hospital in 2016 and had a terrible experience with them. This was the main reason I chose to go to West Suffolk for my second child. The West Suffolk Hospital is a smaller hospital, but my whole pregnancy I felt that I was in safe hands and was given much more information than what I had with my first. I saw the same midwife for all of my appointments prior to the birth which was lovely. I felt like I was very prepared this time round and everything was planned very well.

I had a planned caesarean and everything went very smoothly. I wasn't pestering the maternity assistants or midwives for drugs for the pain because they would regularly come and check on me, the care was incredible at this hospital. I went home the next day after the operation with everything I needed to control the pain and I was a lot more comfortable at home in my own bed, so felt like I recovered better. It was an amazing experience compared to my previous one and I am so grateful because I was very nervous.

A huge thank you to the staff involved - I will never forget my experience in the labour suite and I have been praising your work to all I know. You are so great at your jobs and it's so refreshing to have that type of care.
