I had the unfortunate need to call the emergency services whilst on holiday in Devon. The paramedics were excellent monitoring and explaining they needed to take me to hospital. Once at the hospital the nurses and staff monitored my situation. Doctor gave very clear communication on my medical condition and the effects if left untreated. Gave medication to get my heart back into rhythm and then sent to medical assessment ward. Monitored regularly, chest X-ray, doctor advised about Atrial Fibrillation complications i.e strokes etc and importance of taking medication and side affetcts I was discharged once stable. Despite the fear of what was happening to me I felt the medical care was extremely good, doctors communication was good, nurses and porters provided good level of care and everywhere seemed clean.
