Having been admitted to the Northern general hospital after having had a routine ECG which showed I had suffered a heart attack, the doctor explained in perfect detail the investigative process to pinpoint the treatment I would require, Echo sound, Angiogram etc.
This process highlighted the fact that I would need a quadruple bypass, at this time the surgeon came to see me and explained in every detail what would be involved, asked if me or my wife had any questions or concerns that he could answer for us.
On Tuesday 24th April I went to theatre where the Anaesthetist and all the other myriad of people made me feel safe and supremely confident that the only outcome would be a good one. This turned out to be the case and to the amazement of friends and family by Saturday 28th April I was on my way home!
The care and consideration I received from all the staff was incredible and once again I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart (literally!) every member of staff, Keep up the good work you are all amazing.
