I
I attended the cardiovascular unit in January 2018, I had seen a locum consultant who was very thorough and said he wished to see me every 3 months in the clinic hence my appointment in April. The medic I saw was very curt - when I asked that he repeat his name he asked "was I hard of hearing" in a rather beligerant manner, I assured him that I was.He listened to my heart for a couple of seconds followed by my pulse rate, after which he dictated a letter to a secretary saying I should be seen in 12months,I questioned that at which point he immediately said OK 6months. I had also been told by the consultant that I should have a stress echo test every 6 months but no such test was mentioned. Had the consultant said the same I would have been delighted but I felt let down by the lack of care and that the previous instructions were ignored.
