I am impressed! Had an appointment at 11am, at the orthopedic clinic. The GP I had seeen referred me because I have had a trigger finger for over 6 months & it was agony. My initial appointment was for June 19th, but luckily I got a cancellation. Arrived around 10.30. Booked in at Reception & got the lift to the first floor. It was only 10.40, but as I was coming out I heard my name being called!
Saw a lovely young doctor to begin with. He went off to see the consultant who came to examine my hand and said he would recommend a steroid injection and was I willing to have it today? Of course I agreed. The nurse who came in was very reassuring.
It was quite painful but hoping it will be worth it. I can't believe I was home by quarter past eleven.
