"Seriously wouldn't recommend for mental health..."

About: Dr Azim & Partners

I saw two doctors from this surgery when I was suffering from stress at work. I was hardly sleeping and wasn't able to cope. The first doctor who I saw told me that life is stressful and I just needed to make a list of what I was good at with my job and I would be fine. I just got worse so saw another doctor in the practice. At first he was helpful and prescribed sleeping tablets and anti-depressants for me and signed me off work for two and a half weeks. However, I was very down at this point and one day took an overdose of paracetamol- although before taking enough to do myself serious harm, I took myself to A&E. I saw the second GP again on the next day. He asked me if I was a religious person and said that surely as a religious person I believed that whatever situation I was in was from God. He also used phrases like, "the trouble with you is......" I feel that having a doctor speak to me in this way, when I was low, made me worse. I have since moved to a new surgery. I would seriously discourage anybody with mental health issues from joining this practice.
