"A scary journey with a positive outcome"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) / Neurology

October 2017 I was blue lighted to Kings from the Princess Royal. To my shock and horror I had had a bleed on the brain. I must firstly praise the ambulance crew whose care was kind, reassuring and extremely efficient. I was taken to the ward in the early hours of the morning where I was monitored for two days waiting my turn to have a cerebral angiogram. I came across many nurses teams who were all professional and caring, rushing around doing the best they can in the crowded wards.

The doctor and his team in Neuroradiology were wonderful. I cannot praise them enough. So calm, every case different, dealing with life and death everyday.

Throughout my stay I had professional, kind, efficient, treatment and care. I have just had my 6 month check up, another angiogram performed with wonderful care and treatment. Some of the staff even remembered my story which I thought was amazing with the many numbers of people that must pass through their hands.

A great hospital. Life savers. Thank you so much.
