"Nothing was too much for any of them"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My 87 year old mother was taken to Bournemouth A & E by some superb ambulance and paramedics. She was treated by a superb doctor Tom and a team of very caring Nurses.   They were working their socks off with trolley beds overflowing down the centre of the room.   They always treated our mum with dignity and spoke to her and not over her. There was also a lovely young lady offering very welcomed cups of tea and coffee and sandwiches with all that was going on around her - nothing was too much for any of them. Mum has now been fitted with a pacemaker and God willing we will be bring her home tomorrow.  Thank you all so much you are worth your weight in gold.   Thank you from the bottom of our hearts x x x

Dear Alidor

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of our Emergency Department and sorry to hear your mother was taken poorly.

We are pleased to hear the Ambulance service responded quickly and professionally to the call and that your mother was treated so well by them and the staff in the Emergency Department.

Thank you for mentioning the quality of care and dignity experienced while in the department, from the tea round to the Dr looking after your mum. We will certainly pass your kind comments on to the Matron to share with the rest of her team.

We hope your mum is soon up on her feet and back to her normal self.

Regards

Patient Engagement Team
