"Not impressed, I feel like just another number"

The first time I cam in to see one of the Doctors I really felt he cared about me and how I was feeling, however the other two Doctors I have seen have not been as helpful.

The first time I came to see someone about my bad back ache, but he didn't seem too interested in what I was telling him and he ended up prescribing antibiotics for something I doubt I had.

The second time I came in to see someone about ear ache, he had a look and couldn't find anything so told me to get a specific type of medication which I then went out to try and find. Apparently this medication is having manufacturing issues and is not available anywhere so I left a message to see what alternatives I could use.

He told me to get some other drops or oils but when I told the Pharmacist she told me there was nothing like that available.

I didn't really feel that the Doctors cared about me, I felt like I was just another number to get out of the way.

I feel disappointed and don't want to bother coming back but unfortunately in my catchment area they seem to have the best reviews so don't want to chance leaving.

And my ear is still sore so they weren't helpful at all.

I am sorry that you we dissatisfied with the service you received . Are you aware of the other services available to you for self management of minor illnesses? We are trying our best to cope with the ever increasing demand and would ask patients to consider other health care professionals that may be able to assist with treatment and advice. Anonymous feedback is always difficult to discuss on line. I hope that if you have any further issues with the level of service we provide you feel that you could discuss it with one of the management team and give the practice an opportunity to deal with problems as they arise.
