About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Plastic Surgery & Burns (wards 45, 47, 48 & 49)

(as the patient),

I had to have corrective surgery as I had a wound that wouldnt heal which meant I needed a skin graft. I want to praise consultant Mr Kirkpatrick and a nurse Nicola at Glasgow Royal infirmary they were both amazing and put my mind at ease every step of the way. My skin graft 95% took and both reassured how the healing process would work. They explained every process every step of the way everything went according to what they had said. Nicola was amazing at reassuring me and calming me down when I needed staples removed as I was terrified. They both should be praised for the amazing work they do a huge thank you to them. Ive still one appointment left with the consultant but I have my quality of life back. So thank you

Thank you i would appreciate it being passed on to them, i have had a horrible experience else where and with a different consultant and was left in pain for months, they put my mind at ease every step of the way and riverview medical centre and the nurses there should also get a mention as they were fantastic through the whole ordeal. The nurses especially they were great with me. X
