"The inclusion centre here in Gosport is essential to me"

About: Inclusion Recovery Hampshire / Gosport

(as a service user),

From the minute I walked into the inclusion centre in March I met the receptionist Nikki and got a thoroughly warm welcome, my mum came also and she was also welcomed and put at ease. Nikki presented me with all the services the centre provides including Acupuncture, ACT, IRT, alcohol groups and Art & Craft sections. Educational and helpful. The staff seem to go above and beyond the care I was expecting. The professionals, counsellors & support workers/facilitators , some have which experienced addiction 1st hand give bespoke support to every attendee.

What surprised me the most is last week I presented Nikki with a problem a friend was having based in Fareham. She highlighted the centre local to him and what his 1st moves must be on approach and how outreach services such as MIND are becoming increasingly involved for all branches of addiction and MH support. He has since been and is now being appointed a support worker and feels so much better that someone is helping him.

The inclusion centre here in Gosport is essential to me in my recovery and now after a 5 night stint in QA (librium) early March I'm nearly 2 months clear. This centre gives daily support, listens, advises and praises even the smallest amount of steps people take and I walk out/leave an appointment with positivity and direction.

I attend AA 3 times p/w which is great and is helpful in a different way. Nobody judges anyone else and the anonymity of the service allows us to be open and clear. I have made what I feel are new friends providing a crucial service and am embracing it with open arms. I feel this is an essential service in this vulnerable community doing the power of good to people like me. Thank you,

Thank you for your positive comments about the welcome you received at the Gosport Hub and I am so pleased that you have had a positive experience regarding your care and treatment. I would also like to congratulate you on your achievement of being 2 months abstinent. Recovery is not an easy journey but hopefully by accessing the help and support as you are doing you will continue to make excellent progress.
