"SHOCKING"

About: Calderdale Royal Hospital

What I liked

I was promptly seen by the arrogant Dr

What could be improved

Everything.

I am now 4 months into treatment for a lump.

Now I know what this lump isn't, thanks to the wonderful letter I have received. The lump is not a hernia. Bravo Calderdale, you told me this way back in April. Maybe it would help if you actually took blood/urine tests.

I have had a CT Scan - what a joke. my notes were left in a drawer. I had to chase them for an appointment - after 6 weeks of weekly chasing I got told that there was an appointment. In 3 hours time.

Now on to the main problem. the arrogant so and so I saw on Friday. Oh Yes, there is definitely a lump there, but I won't do anything about it until I can see it on a scan.

My mother is a nurse of 25 years, and she was absolutely insensed by the way this "Dr" talked to us. We are free to seek another opinion of course he snottily told us. If my mother had left someone in pain for the last 4 months, she would have had some serious, career threatening questions to answer. But as you can only feel the lump and now see it I suppose it makes it ok.

Whilst all this is going on, do you not realise that I am in a great deal of pain. I cannot stand straight in a morning. AND WE STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS LUMP IS. WHO KNOWS, IT COULD BE CANCER FOR ALL YOU KNOW.

This is the same PCT that diagnosed terminal throat cancer as acid reflux. lets pack my relative off home with Gaviscon. Pity 5 weeks after you finally pulled your finger out she was dead. one less statistic for you.

Anything else?

I am sick and tired of this now.
