"bad pain after heart operation"

I had a vein removed almost 2 weeks ago, I am now at home and yesterday  I had a terrible pain develop in my leg where the vein had been removed which frightened me. Area around the wound was very red and inflammed, hot to touch and keeping me awake. Rang 1111 and was advised to get a taxi and come down to Hospital. I found nothing bad about the service and thought it was very efficient.
