"Wrongly treated"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

After being in pain for a while urinating and peeing blood, I called the 111 nhs number for some advice and spoke to a lovely doctor on the phone who seemed very concerned for me and advised me to go to a and e as soon as possible, my partner left work so he was able to take me there as the doctor on the phone said I would need to be seen asap. On arrival I approached the a and e department reception to where I was stood waiting for what seemed like ages because the receptionist was playing on her personal mobile. After realising I was stood there she showed me to the toilets so I could take a urine sample, I came out gave it to her to give to the doctor and was then called over by a very quiet doctor who did not seem to be enjoying her job very much. In the room she did not ask me any questions that could of determined the problem, she did not examine me, she didn't say much really, I was in the room for 5 minutes and was then sent away with a prescription to get some antibiotics. First of all what a waste of time for me and my partner, and second of all I didn't even know what the antibiotics were for. A few days passed and I had taken the tablets and to my surprise I was still in pain so I decided to go to my local clinic where I was examined and told that the antibiotics were wrongly given to me and that they had now caused me to have thrush as they were not needed. I also learned that the doctor from the hospital had not sent my urine sample away as it was not on my records.
